I don't recall your original post, however, as far as I know, OpenOffice doesn't support Word Perfect files. One work around might be to install the free Microsoft Word Viewer and compatibility pack, which should enable you to read WordPerfect 5 & 6 files. If you can do that, you can then cut & paste the contents into OpenOffice.
