I don't know that you can.
Many symbols and the blank character sort before letters and
numbers-as-text, though after numeric values. Is it possible for you
to replace your empty cells - perhaps temporarily - with a suitable
symbol character or an explicit blank, which will then appear in the
right place? And perhaps to change any numeric values to text
strings? You may be able to modify any formula using the cell values
to treat the symbol or blank character in the same way that it would
treat an empty cell - so that your results could be identical.
