There's already a closed issue about this. The maintainers (at least those
who responded to the issue) don't feel it's a bug. It may not be in that it
works as designed however I do agree that being able to specify where nulls
sort would be very helpful.

I've opened a new issue, an enhancement request. Vote for it here if you
like.
