Hello, German language is available at http://de.openoffice.org, including a German users list. For the X11 problem: the Aqua version of OOo will be ready soon. It doesn't need X11 any more. I already use the Release Candidate 1 (there's also a newer version, m6). The word is that you shouldn't use it for 'serious' work, and save your work regularly because it isn't bugsfree yet.
