German language is available at http://de.openoffice.org, including
a German
users list.
For the X11 problem: the Aqua version of OOo will be ready soon. It
doesn't
need X11 any more.
I already use the Release Candidate 1 (there's also a newer version,
m6).
The word is that you shouldn't use it for 'serious' work, and save
your work
regularly because it isn't bugsfree yet.
The 3.0.0RC1 is available at GoodDay, in English as well as German,
PowerPC
