Hi,
I wanted to inform you that the installation bug from rc1 is solved. I just installed rc2 without any problems. It looks very nice. It is only a bit sad that openoffice stil isn't modular build. Three of the modules are using as much space as the full install. But what I would to know is if a mailing program and a Personal Information Manager.

What?

O.k. Now I found a new version of the wikipedia article in which I found the information a couple of months ago. Thunderbird will be added later to openoffice of some reasons. Hope it gets at least in openoffice 4.0.

Why? There is much debate on the addition of an email program and PIM.
You complain of disk space, yet want 'features' that will possibly add a
few hundred more MB's to the program.
Did you not look at the features of OOo before downloading and
installing? If you did you would have found no mention of an mail
program and PIM. However, if you want, you can purchase MS Outlook and
run it side-by-side with OOo.
on the german page of wikipedia about openoffice are two links to articles that say you can use it in the future as an add-on or extention for openoffice. it used to be that if you install only a couple of the components the software uses not so much space but it makes no sense to talk much about this. the start time of openoffice was quite bad also let see if it will be better in openoffice 3.0.
