Hi, I recently downloaded the program and used it to convert my

do something with my address book I used to make my address labels.
I had typed 100 addresses in last year, before I had Word in my
computer, and don't want to lose all of that work. What are my
options? Do I have any?
I'm having to guess slightly, but do you mean that you created the
addresses in Windows Address Book? If so:
o Open Windows Address Book.
o Go to File | Export > | Other Address Book... | Text File (Comma
Separated Values) | Export.
o Select a destination and name for your file and save it.
o Close Windows Address Book.
o Right-click the .csv file you have created, choose Open With >,
and select (or browse to) scalc.
o You can now handle your addresses as you wish, either as a
spreadsheet in Calc, or copied from there into Writer, or even copied
into Base as a database. If you need to have them as what OpenOffice
calls a Data Source (e.g. for mail merge), you will need to create a
new Base database (remember to "register" it) and copy the material
from Calc and paste it into the Tables panel in Base. This will
bring up the Copy Table dialogue and you can create the necessary table.
I trust this helps.
