I want to get this right from the start. I want to: A. Install so users don't have to register B. Install so users dont get update reminders - I'm on the mailing lists C. Download a dictionary and apply it as default across all users
The simple install of 2.4.0 went off without a hitch AFAIK. The bloke who installed the server did it without any regard for the above. Anyone want to try writing a step-by-step howto for a backwater maintainer. Better yet point me to a Wiki with existing info i can update as per my experiences. This is the level of specificity i want in the step by step: Step 1. Download and verify checksum Step 2. Don't double-click installer - unpack instead Step 3.
