Came this utterance fomulated by Michael Adams to my mailbox:

Ok, i have finished the install on Windows Server 2008. It installed
fine

I tried the - Deactivating the OpenOffice.org Registration Wizard
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Administration_Guide/Deactivating_Registration_Wizard
It worked - on my login, no other login. Not too much grief because if
you choose "i dont want to register" that is your only question.

During the install i chose to not start the quickstarter. Time will
tell if that helps.

There is no "English(NZ)" New Zealand dictionary as yet. So all users
have to manually set English(UK) to get spell checking.

In an educational environment these are painful but not insurmountable
problems. At least we are no worse off than before.
