Version 3 gives you the option of removing version 2.x. Your
configuration is not affected by installing or uninstalling.
I did notice OOo's paths had been altered - specifically, a path to a
local template directory had been removed (XP; 2.4.1 replaced by
3.0). No big deal though.
When you install v3, it will ask you if you want to use the existing
settings.
