The installation should offer you the possibility of porting your
customization to the new version.
Just in case you may want to backup your current user settings.

If you use Windows you can refer to this post:
http://user.services.openoffice.org/en/forum/viewtopic.php?f=71&t=882

In GNU/Linux the settings are (by default) in your home directory under
.openoffice.org2/user.

If you use a Mac I am afraid I cannot help (but I sure Google knows).

In OOo version 3 the settings are stored in /openoffice.org/3/user/.

Is exactly clear what is transferred from 2.x? (I've not found a full list of it yet.)

AFAIK (from WinXP):
Transferred :
- custom toolbars
- customized colors (*)
- basic libraries
- templates

Not transferred :
- customizations in main menu
- key board customizations
- registered databases (datasources)
- user data (Tools|Options|OOo General>User data)

??
- custom dictionary's
- autocorrect

Any more?
Is this the same as your findings?

Thanks,
Cor
