Are the images embedded in the document, or are they links? One way to
check, apart from a macro, is to copy your document to a "zip" file
extension (copy hello.odt to hello.zip) and then unzip the document.
Look for the images in one of the directories.

Hi guys n gals,
Need some help: XP Pro SP3 OOo 3.0:
Graphics will not display in Writer; only a URL to the graphic.
I've gone into Tools; Options and made sure View; Display; Graphics and
Objects is ticked, which is how I've done it for the last couple of
revision levels of OOo. It was fine in 2.4.1 and a 3 BETA I tried.
After a lot of looking through the various settings, ALL of them<g>,
I don't see anything else that would keep images from being displayed.
Am I missing something obvious?
Funny thing is, they displayed OK on ONE of 3 documents I've tried it
with so far; without my having changed anything. That was an article
from ZDNet I copied/pasted from the 'net. There were no graphics at
first, I closed the program, and when I reopened that file, it offered
to Recover it (reason for recovery unknown, nothing crashed), and voila,
the graphics were there! But no luck on the other two or anything else
I've tested.
Haven't looked for an MD5 to compare yet, don't even know if there is
one, but I'll look. But thought I'd ask here in case it's just
something dumb I'm missing.
TIA,
Twayne
