It is indeed a bug! And a very bad one. Almost a show stopper. Better vote for 
it (up to 2 votes per issue).

What board? You are sending these emails to the OpenOffice.org **users** ml. Swearing at us is not going to achieve anything. In fact, it might be counterproductive since people here are less likely to try and help you if you swear at them.

The long term solution is to report it as a bug (thought it is a good idea to check first that it hasn't already been reported).

The short term solutions are: 1) save manually or 2) revert to OOo 2.4.1 until the problem has been solved.
