I visit the OOo site only rarely... every few months, perhaps... so I don't keep a site-map in my head. To my old-guy eye, it shares an affliction with several other open-source sites. Some sites that I visit are designed for usability, for finding what I need or want in a very short time. Paths on/from the main page are obvious, and most navigation is quick (few clicks). Then, some of those sites are not particularly pretty. Some other sites that I visit are designed for fashion or style or theme, with apparently little comprehension of usability. The primary motivator of the designer/implementer is an artistic or thematic one. It's not that they don't want you to be able to quickly find what you need (though sometimes, I think some of them want to delay you as much as possible so that you can bask in the glory of their arteeeestic vision...), it's that they barely gave a thought to actual _use_ of the site. Now, as to which kind of site the OOo site is.... ahem...... - Kevin The information contained in this electronic mail transmission may be privileged and confidential, and therefore, protected from disclosure.
