Is there an option or manual setting that will allow the disabling (turn

when Open Office is first started? I really don't need this window. Thanks.

You have not told us what operating system you are using or which part
of OpenOffice you would want to start.
Please look at your OpenOffice menu. In windows for example this is
found under Start > Programs (My Programs in XP) > OpenOffice.Org 3.0.
In this folder you find icons to start any individual part of OpenOffice
such as Writer, Base, Calc, or Impress. You would then start straight
into the desired application. If you right click and >send this icon >
to the desktop you then have a desktop icon for the application.
However if you only close the document you are working on rather than
the application, this will return to the Ooo 3 menu
I hope that helps
Rob
