Hi Louis et al, I just got your "public" email address from the openoffice website and I would like to congratulate you on making OpenOffice 2 Beta so good. I have completly moved away from Microsoft Office for Word, Excel and Powerpoint. For the web I use gmail, Thunderbird and Firefox.
However just a few points although I think the work you and the teams at Mozilla have done is brilliant. I think some cross marketing could be beneficial to both teams. Also I know you already bare in mind that MS Office is not just about the Word, Excel Powerpoint and Access. and that the majority of users this is enough. But for a whole organisation to move away from MS you need the other bits as well. So how about supporting/plugging other software which fills those holes in the lineup. This would, I feel, enable more people to switch to OpenOffice. The Gannt Project (look on SourceForge) for a MS Project replacement. That still (for me at least leaves one hole - a replacement for MS Visio - any suggestions? I look forward to your comments and your next release!
