I'm using OOo 2.4 on Ubuntu 8.10
I know how to generate a table of contents in OOo (Insert>Indexes
and Tables) but is it possible to make a table that is hyperlinked
to the relevant content within the document (eg if I click on a
table entry it would take me to the page where the actual content is).
Yes.
o In the table of contents, go to right-click | Edit Index/Table | Entries.
o Select the heading level to which you want to assign hyperlinks.
o Click in the empty box to the left of the "E#" button. (This may
appear to be "F#", as it does in my installation.)
o Click Hyperlink.
o Click in the empty box to the right of the "E" button (may appear
to be "F").
o Click Hyperlink again.
o Repeat for other heading levels - or click All to apply to all levels.
Oh, and you need to use Ctrl+click to follow the hyperlinks.
I trust this helps.
