Hi emf,

None of them!
There is no document specific dictionaries. All dictionaries will be
used in all documents. If you want to use just specific dictionaries you
can enable/disable them in the Dialog "Tools/Options - Language Settings
- Writing Aids".
And since soffice.dic and sun.dic are to be used by all user and thus
located in the share layer they can't be edited unless you have admin
rights. But still it would be a bad idea to edit them since the
dictionaries in the share layer will just get replaced by new versions
when updating OO.
Thus the only sensible choice is to make use of standard.dic or to
create a new dictionary (with a language assigned) in the above
mentioned dialog. I think the latter is the best solution if you want to
make and keep a word list of your own.

Hi, Thomas.
Thanks for your reply. I posted my "reply" to my original message before
reading yours. I still am not sure I understand the
function/functionality of the IgnoreAllList. Yes, I realized I have to
make a specific dictionary for specific documents or groups of documents
that contain words that I don't care to use in other documents.
I unchecked the soffice and sun dictionaries so I have only the standard
and the document dictionary to choose from if I right-click on a
misspelled word > Add. I hope this will not interfere with the
functioning of the OOo.
Since the new document dictionary I created is to be used with only 1
specific document, I don't see the reason why I should assign a language
to it: It will contain all the words, of any included language, that I
want from the document.
Thanks again. If possible, please comment on the IgnoreAllList and my
other comments.
