Twayne,

Thanks for the comments. Unlike most folks on this newsgroup I've been a developer (as opposed to a user) off and mostly on for some 45 years. I belong to many technical forums and tend to really pound on something before posting a "what am I missing" kind of note. There was no way I should have struggled like that to do a simple thing. The Help totally failed me. Turns out the answer, thanks to Naomi, was something I had already tried but before I had defined the necessary page stype. It was a Catch-22 situation: I kept getting the same styles.

Anyway, I'm OK with it if it winds up helping others. Help is often written with the perspective of creating new documents, not changing them. Over time it improves.

Jerry,

Just wanted to let you know you're not alone. Several of us have had the same teething problem. Old habits die hard and the unfortunate overlapping of some terms with Word did get confusing. Thanks; looks like you've improved the documentation for all of us and especially those to come. Once you reach the "AHA!" moment, it all comes a lot easier<g>.

Twayne
