I have been using Open Office for years. I loaded version 2 on my Mac and it was working great. I upgraded to version 3 and it too works great, well almost. Somehow I seem to have lost the icon that shows on Open Office document files. All of my old documents now have icons that show as: If I choose Always Open With: It corrects the icon to show as: But I have to do that for each document, and when I create a new document in Open Office 3 the icon associated with that new document shows as the blank icon above. I know how to correct all existing icons (I have to open them with the "always open with" method) but how do I get the newly created documents to have to correct icon? What is puzzling is the icon association worked with Open Office version 2, but started this after I installed version 3. Please help me fix this annoyance. Thank you, Robert B. Gamble |
