OK. BTW: I started up one of my other test machines (Ubuntu 8.04.1/Gnome) today and it has OOo 3.0 m9 (build 9358) on it. The Tools|Options|OOo|General "Open/Save dialogs" checkbox is there and working. However, instead of showing "use OpenOffice.org dialogs" it merely shows "Use dialogs" - either way it does the same thing. Uncheck it and you get your system dialogs rather than OOo's dialogs. If yours is missing that, then perhaps its a KDE issue.
