That freeze certainly is unusual! The "restore loop" is fairly common,
and your best bet is usually to tell OOo not to restore if that starts
happening. If you do that, and get Writer up again, can you recreate the
problem? Is there anything strange about the contents of the last
paragraph you entered, or the first paragraph that was being entered
when the freez happened?
