Hello everybody.

I want to open an issue about this, but I think it's better to discuss this
here before I do. I don't know if there is already one open, by the way.

I really think all translated versions of OOo Calc should also understand
the English version of formula names mainly because of tree reasons:

a) When you seek for help writing formulas, there are a lot of resources in
English. More than in any other language. So, when you find a solutions for
what you are looking for, it's troublesome to find how to translate those
formula names into your localized version of OOo Calc.

b) When you have a localized version of OOo Calc and write some macros that
have some formulas to insert, those macros will never work in any different
language version of OOo Calc.

c) If you have to work with people from different countries, it's easier to
talk about English formula names... just have to learn one for all the
available languages.

Since the translations are being done with PO files, it shouldn't be hard to
use either the translated string or the original string... you always have
both.

Any suggestions?
What do you think about this?
Any comments?

Hope it helps

Ely.
