The person James was rebuffing had broken the first three rules outlined outlined at the OOo Mailing Lists - Guidelines: <http://www.openoffice.org/ml_guidelines.html> "All lists follow the general principles of netiquette. In addition, OpenOffice.org does not allow: *Advertising, except for simple notices that such and such a service is available either as a single information notice or in response to a request for information * Spam * Personal attacks (not criticising a position, but slamming or flaming the writer)" What that person who caused the outburst did (regardless of content), was to SPAM the List repeatedly. The OOo Mailing-List Guidelines, go on to say: "Repeated violation of these principles will result in suspension of the subscriber's membership in the relevant mailing list. If the subscriber insists on joining under different aliases, the subscriber's posts will be quarantined." IMO, her membership should have been suspended after her 2nd or 3rd outburst lambasting participants in this List, plus including so much SPAM along with her baggage. Perhaps she has been since suspended. I hope that she has.
