WHAT'S UP WITH THIS DOWNLOAD CRAP?
For more than five hours I've started the download for OpenOffice3.
Each and every time, this damn download hangs, stops, or crashes around
28%
of completion.
After this, the whole operation is frozen into a dead state where
everything on the pc and keyboard is immobile, frozen or dead!
That is unusual - has never happened to me before. Does this happen to your
other downloads...
In order to bail out of such a predicament, the only available option is
to
press the Reset button because of the preplanned, malicious hacking
wrought
on by this listless, academic crackpot who devised and programmed this
damming crap into the system in the first place!
What was pre-planned ... Who was 'malicious hacking' - your logic is
starting to get a little fuzzy here...
Needless to say, this type of shutdown has happened before, causing severe
hard drive damage, resulting in the purchase of several new hard drives.
There is no valid reason for such reckless, wanton behavior in operating
a
website
Oh right it has happened before - well then it may be clear to you - if you
thought for just a second - that it may not be related to OpenOffice
then...
Possibly your system (which is virus attracting windows) is infected with a
virus or some other nasty. I would think it is better to see if you can
resolve the core of the problem instead of ranting and raving ...
To cut through the chase: This website:
http://download.openoffice.org/simply sucks, and is doing so all the way
up to the gates of hell!
Sorry you lost me there - what does 'hell' have to do with it...
I cannot understand why a big company such as Sun Microsystems would shell
out their products to some unknown, questionable characters who's very
intention are clouded with ulterior motives.
Again your logic is loosing me a little...
For the reasons stated above, I will simply get a copy of OpenOffice3 from
my neighbor.
Thanks for the hassle!

Sounds like a plan to me... But seriously I would check out your system as
well...

I have never had a problem downloading OOo with Windoze as the OS, I have
used OOo since ver 1 but think you Linux users are sooo holier than thou,
please stop trying to justify your use of it, we understand and accept your
choice to use it, but we are sooo sick of hearing your justifications, I am
not a great fan at all of ms either, but it is in general, and in my opinion,
a superior os to ubuntu. Spent several hard weeks once in trying to get
ubuntu to do some of the most basic functions available in an ms os and
getting drivers for hardware is another issue altogether along with adequate
replacements for software like ACDSee, and before anyone says anything about
what is on offer for Linux, it is nowhere near as good.
Excuse me but I saw no reference to linux in anythung you have quoted in
your post.
