You may want to take a look at chapter 2 of the Impress guide which you can download for free at this address: http://oooauthors.org/en/authors/userguide3/impress3/published/ Warning: something very annoying! In case you define more than one slide master in your presentation, remember that for some reason OOo applies the rule "use it or lose it", so if you do not use the slide master in any of the slides, OOo just removes it. This is something I meant to add to the guide but never did hoping that the issue was going to be fixed in OOo3.0 Cheers, Michele
