Thanks for the suggestion. I didn't know about "nbold." That solved the problem.

I couldn't get this to work. In the font formatting dialog box I have Arial
assigned as the sans font and Junicode as the serif font. But the "font sans"
and "font serif" commands just produce question marks.

The bold and nbold have more or less fixed the problem. Thanks!
