I am looking at two OO3 instances, and,
. for one the help about says it is version 3.1.0 DEV300m37 build 9371
. for the other the help about says it is version 3.0.1 OOO300m15 build 9379

I understand that the first is a developer snapshot and maybe from some
different branch of development(?), but is there any significance in the two
"m" numbers m37 and m15? Does m37 in any way indicate that this one has
"more" of anything or is "newer" or what? What does the "m" number represent?

And, given that the m numbers are different, is it meaningful to compare the
two build numbers and conclude that the build 9379 is newer than the build
9371, (in which case, why does 9371 have the higher version number, 3.1.0?),
or are they in different build numberspaces?

(The reason I ask is that one loops with 100% CPU on one particular .ppt and I
want to know if I should ignore one or other build but also whether either of
these instances has more function that I might then lose)

John
