Question from a new open office user...

I utilize MS Office 2003 at work, but want to use Open office on
laptop... can I convert an open office word doc to a MS Office word doc?

I used MS Office 2003 pro with OpenOffice.org
Just save the files in MS's .doc format and
edited using either MS Word or OOo Writer, but just
make sure you save the edits in the .doc format.
You can default OOo Writer to save as .doc files.

I almost never use Word any more, since most of my
people that I deal with now use OpenOffice.org. But
I still have MS Office loaded if needed. You will find
that Word 2003 work (99% or most work with it) will be
read and edited by OpenOffice.org Writer 3.x easily.
I even use MS's templates with OOo. Some of the Office 2007
stuff does not work well with OOo, but most everything
I deal with that uses Office 2003 or earlier works great.
