In OO Impress, on my notes pages, the slide itself appears only on

The problem may be caused by the fact that I used a Powerpoint
skeleton from my university and converted that to .odp. But then I
suppose I must be able to repair the above problem? Or is this an OO
bug? I'd love to use OO Impress because I hate all these people
virtually equating a computer slides presentation to "a powerpoint".
A bit of experimentation suggests that your notes were perhaps
originally set up to print on landscape pages. Changing the page
orientation from landscape to portrait creates something like the
effect you describe.
I'm guessing, but try this:
o Click the Notes tab.
o Click the slide image (to show the eight green handles).
o Go to Format | Position and Size... | Position and Size | Protect,
and remove the tick from Size.
o Drag the handles to resize the slide image. Hold the Shift key
down whilst doing so if you wish to preserve the aspect ratio (but
not otherwise).
Does that help?
