In Writer 3.01, If you go into Paragraph > Tabs you can set a leading

trouble
getting it to do what I want.
This is for a table of contents. What it currently displays is:
Chapter 1.....................1
I want it to look like:
Chapter 1 . . . . . . . . . . 1
I.e., I want a space between the dots and at least one space after the
entry and at least one space before the page number. (OK, I'm fussy
about the appearance of my documents.)
I thought I could at least get the space between the dots, but in the
Tabs > Character box you can enter only one character. That is, I
tried
to enter a dot and a space, but it wouldn't let me.
Does anyone have any suggestions, workarounds or special tricks?
