does M$-Office comply with rtf standard , or is it an M$-enriched-rtf format ?

On Linux, OO, Kword or Ted open it with different layout too, but OO is the most
broken.
Layout may be a problem of available fonts too. Maybe adding MS fonts would
solve this.

on linux a package named mscorefonts should be available, or you can get
them at http://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=34153
this fonts are free, it is legal to get them, even if MS does not provide
them anymore...
