Sometimes, a perceived problem with new application software simply
requires you to discover where the facility you require exists. I
think OpenOffice sees what you require as a matter for page
formatting rather than printing _per se_. You may be able to do what
you require like this:
o If you wish to print only part of your spreadsheet, select that
part and go to Format | Print Ranges > | Define in order to define a
print range.
o Go to Format | Page... | Sheet | Scale.
o Under "Scaling mode", select as appropriate from the drop-down menu.
o Set appropriate values in the boxes to the right.
