I have tried several times to register in to Open Office, but there was an interruption to my email service and I was 'timed out'. I could not use the back button on my internet page as requested, because it was 'greyed out'. Do I need to start again from the beginning, or is there some way I can use the password given to me? You can use the OpenOffice.org suite without any registration or password, so I think you probably got your software from some reseller instead of getting the free version available from the www.openoffice.org website. If that's the case, I'm afraid we can't help you here, you'll have to work with whoever supplied the software. Unless the reseller is providing some actual additional service, you may want to cancel the purchase and get OOo directly from its own website. The software, documentation, and support for OOo are all free, although some other sources provide books and paid support that can supplement the standard ones.
