I seem to recall a there is [was?] a small package that provides a
spelling checker for Outlook Express in the absence of MS Office.
I thought Outlook comes with MS Office, so I wouldn't expect such a
package for it. At least I recall having the option of installing
Outlook the last time I installed MS Office. But that was a very long
time ago.

Uninstalling MSOffice also means that you won't have a spellchecker
