I would like to know if it is possible to specify "UserInstallation"
when installing OpenOffice the first time. Because OpenOffice setup
creates and install content in the default "Documents and Settings"
directory like C:\Documents and Settings\**user**\Application
Data\OpenOffice.org\3\user, i would like to know if it is possible to
specify an other directory upon installation.
There is a trick on this page:
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Run_OOo_versions_parallel
section User Configuration.
- Change the value for the variable UserInstallation in the Bootrstap.ini
I guess it will work for you as well.
Another page with lots of knowledge (in case you are interested in more
tricks later on):
http://wiki.services.openoffice.org/wiki/Documentation/Administration_Guide
I notice that once install, it is possible to create a new user to a
specified directory. In that case, i would like to know if it is
possible to delete the C:\Documents and Settings\**user**\Application
Data\OpenOffice.org\3\user.
Normally it isn't.
If you fully close the office, delete (rename) that dir, and start OOo
again, there will be a new tree set up.
The problem is that i do not have enough space to in C: for the
OpenOffice bundle. I have a drive, like F:, with lots of space and i
would like to install both OpenOffice program(s) and associated files,
and also the user directory.
You'll be able to now to do that.
Success & kindest regards,
Cor
