Nope, it is the same thing. However, some people prefer to use a different email address for mailing list. A generic one, separate from their usual personal or business email. Obviously, having a signature with personal details in emails sent from a non-personal email account beats the purpose of that account. But people who use just one email account, this makes no different. In any case, IMHO, it is prudent to not publish one's mailing address (postal) and phone numbers on mailing lists.
