I tried this maybe a year ago with Powerpoint, but it did not work,

I took an Impress slide show of 47 slides and exported it to HTML
and it worked.

I needed it for a Powerpoint presentation last year, but no go.

So with my Impress presentation for a class this weekend, I tried
it again. I wanted to place a test version online to people who do not
have OOo. Plus it helps when they are not even in the same state.

It worked great.

It may be worth looking at SlideShare to upload your presentation in future. It would save you hosting the slideshow yourself and may gain you a wider audience.

Sorry
The slide show is for a limited viewing.
Only those that I tell them about it, since it is a
test of a course presentation.
