Since the thread read as if the person had Outlook, but either
was having trouble with it or wanted to stop using it, I gave
that option.

Once you get Thunderbird reading the old emails and address books,
you do not need Outlook anymore, do you?  I did not.  If you had
a trial that used Outlook, then do not want to pay the fee, Thunderbird
is the answer, or at least for me. I have installed Outlook 2003, with
my copy of MS 2003 pro.  I rarely use 2003 pro and never use Outlook.
