No, I was referring (not clearly enough, I agree, sorry) to
governments and businesses who are already in the middle, that is
already MSO users, but have finally understood why and how they were
screwed and shouldn't tolerate a second screwing. Because that is just
what letting the .doc/.xls/.ppt story repeat itself within ODF would
be.

I know what TFA means and where it comes from, so it didn't offend me
at all. Still, both the reason why working inside the spec is not the
best strategy and an alternative solution are there, so don't expect
further answers unless you disagree with that article and come back
quoting the parts you disagree with.

this doesn't change the fact that "OOo and probably other applications
have done the only possible right thing, ie coding according to the
ODF 1.2 draft WHICH ALREADY EXISTS". And so should have done MS.

quoting myself for the last time, "both the reason why working inside
the spec is not the best strategy and an alternative solution are in
that article and the links inside it, so don't expect further answers
unless you disagree with that article and come back quoting the parts
you disagree with." It's not that I don't want to talk with you, it's
just that, sincerely, I have nothing more to add until more facts or
specific critiques pop up.
