Do you actually need only Office 2003 version?  If so there's something
seriously wrong.  If they use Office 2003, they should have no problem
with either Word 97/2000/XP or Word 2003 XML formats.  If you are in
fact limited to only that version, then you've just demonstrated one of
the problems with Microsoft Office i.e. backward compatibility.


BTW, which version of OpenOffice are you using?  The latest is 3.1.0 and
has the best Microsoft Office support.
