Am agreed with Gene Young: keep OO. Whether or not you keep, move your
work into a folder tree of your own making. Is easier to track, back
and preserve from inadvertant uninstalls. Search your drives by file
suffix, for example, *.odf. That is a corollary issue, however.

Go to Tools menu and Options. Expand Load/Save to General; see two
option fields of last line, which are mutually interactive. Select text
doc in the left, then select your preferred format in the right.

Notice that when you select spreadsheets in the left you are offered
alternative spreadsheet formats in the right field. After you mate your
format preferences to all possible file types you will see when you
return to text that OO has remembered. OK out.

There are several OO text formats, as with Word. Is best to specify the
file (format) suffix.

Don't know of a batch process to render all files saved in .odf into
.doc. Open them individually in OO Write and save to your choice of
Word. In the Save As window there's an option right below the file's
title field.

. . . saved everything in it's format. . . ? All your editors want its
in MS Word.
