Thank you, Drew, for answering the original question. I may be using
Win7 very soon, and as I waded thru this thread, I was beginning to
wonder if anyone had actually tested it on Win7.

I am just asking if someone has tried Win7 and OOo to counter
what the upgrade advisor software is saying.
Well - I have been running Windows 7 (Someone called it Vista 7 -
never heard of that package) RC since it's release.
I have been running OO.o on it since oh 20 minutes after loading
Windows 7
So far it is running fine - I've used Writer, Impress and 'surprise'
Base.
In fact OO.o seems to be much more responsive under Windows 7 then it
was under XP and way more then under Ubuntu Jaunty.
(One problem is that there is no Windows Address book any longer under
7 as they have moved to LiveMail, which is a Web2.0 mail system
But if you didn't use Outlook Express so what - if you used OutLook
then you can upgrade to Outlook 7 - but I don't so can't speak to that)
The message IIRC was that the package had not passed a Windows Logo
Certification - which is true as far as I know.
