IN the Swedish help files, before the most recent versions, there is an example like this, but the colours are in Swedish. Nobody could make that work, so there are NEVER Swedish colour names, no matter what language version you have. The Swedish help is corrected since then I believe or will be for the next version. > > > [BLUE][<-5]General;[RED][>30]General;[GREEN]General > works for me in English context. Okay, that doesn't work for me at all, so obviously my system needs the word ”Standard” and your needs the word ”General”, I can live with that. In your example on your computer, if you enter -3 into that cell, does the cell display 3 or -3? If you enter -10, does it display 10 or -10? Just to eliminate more language confusion, let's from now on change the example to this instead: [BLUE][<-5]0;[RED][>30]0;[GREEN]0 It gives the same result but with no decimals (I avoided decimals in this example because about 50% of all countries use a decimal point and the other half, where I belong, use a decimal comma). So the last example should work for everybody, right? So again, copy this format to a couple of cells, then input different values in them. Does -10 show up as -10 or just 10? The same question with -3. On my both laptops (OpenOffice.org 3.1.0 on Ubuntu 8.10 and OpenOffice.org 3.0.1 on Mandriva Linux Free 2009.1) -10 is displayed as -10 and -3 is displayed as 3, and I can't really see why. I will try to attach an example spreadsheet to this post, but I don't know it it will come through. If it does, please open it and take a look. If it doesn't, I will upload it somewhere and provide a link to it. Johnny Rosenberg
