It would appear that on Jul 15, NoOp did say:
> Just dock the toolbar when it pops up - drag & drop it to one of the top
> toolbars. Now when it pops up it won't float, but insead show up where
> you docked it. See:

Thanks... Since I have zero mouse skills I'd never have thought of
that by myself. And actually it took a few tries to make it happen...

I don't normally leave any of them open. (Got no use for click on it
tools) And I think there had to be one there for it to work or
something. Anyway I had two documents with tables open at the time.
And while I was trying to use the drag and drop method on the first
one I somehow got a pop-up with the choice to dock all toolbars... I
said yes... Then I switched focus to the other document and found
that it's floating table toolbar was still floating around. So I
thought that meant I'd have to do this on a per document basis, and
tried to duplicate what I did with the first one, But I really
couldn't figure out how I got that "dock all" dialog. But eventually
the toolbar dropped into place and all I had to do was use the view
menu to turn each of them off one more time...

I've since opened a third document with a table, and created another
table in a new document and that toolbar stayed out of my way. And it
didn't even automatically activate the view toolbar status of it's
docked state :D :D :D

Now I have only to replicate this in my other linux installations to
achieve true happiness... <grin>

Thanks
