Perhaps this will help.
Open OpenOffice.org
From the top menu select
Tools>Options>OpenOffice.org
Select the "General" section
Ont his page find the option:
Open/Save dialogs
If there is a tick mark in the box "Use OpenOffice.org dialogs." remove it.
Now you see standard MS Windows dialogs when you go to save your
documents, as in MSO.
