Please tell me how to get to the page where I can download the program

If you don't know how or you are now with OPenOffice support group....say so.

I have a series of presentations that I give in the classroom I wish to
make available to my students. I don't want them to be able to edit the
slides once they get them.
The current "save as" functions don't seem to provide this feature.
Can anyone suggest a solution?

are not paid but do this in our "spare" time.
If you paid for a download of openoffice then you have been ripped off.
The software is available with no payment at www.openoffice.org. Please
download a version for your operating system and preferred language from
there. If you are unable to download it then you can request a CD or DVd
from several suppliers but they charge a fee for this service.
As regards your payment then you will have to take that up with the
individual or organization you paid the money to. If necessary you may
need to contact either your credit rcard company or paypal.
Please let us know if you cannot download from www.openoffice.org
