HEY....ONE MORE TIME....

MY QUESTION HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH MICROSOFT OFFICE POWER POINT OR MICROSOFT
OFFICE PERIOD!

I WENT ONLINE AND PURCHASED A PROGRAM CALLED

OPENOFFICE.ORG COMPLETE SUITE 3.1 FOR WINDOWS.
I PAID FOR THE PROGRAM WITH PAYPAL AND IT WAS $7.99.

AFTER THAT I WAS TO BE ABLE TO DOWNLOAD THE PROGRAM.

NOW I CAN'T GET TO THE DOWNLOAD PAGE. YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE SUPPORT TEAM FOR OPENOFFICE.ORG....ARE YOU OR NOT?
Please tell me how to get to the page where I can download the program
OpenOffice.org Complete Suite 3.1 for Windows XP

If you don't know how or you are now with OPenOffice support group....say so.

Have a look at this:

it may be of some help. And I do remember the conversion on Microsoft
Office, but it wasn't very good.

If my memory serves, Microsoft Office PowerPoint had a provisions whereby
you could save the presentation so that if someone downloaded it from
your website, they got a ready-to-run presentation rather than just a
download of the presentation itself. At least I seem to remember that
was possible. I no longer have MS Office available, so can't check.

I have a series of presentations that I give in the classroom I wish to
make available to my students. I don't want them to be able to edit the
slides once they get them.

The current "save as" functions don't seem to provide this feature.

Can anyone suggest a solution?

tnx

Jerry

We are users of the openoffice software trying to help other users. We are not paid but do this in our "spare" time.

If you paid for a download of openoffice then you have been ripped off. The software is available with no payment at www.openoffice.org. Please download a version for your operating system and preferred language from there. If you are unable to download it then you can request a CD or DVd from several suppliers but they charge a fee for this service.

As regards your payment then you will have to take that up with the individual or organization you paid the money to. If necessary you may need to contact either your credit rcard company or paypal.

Please let us know if you cannot download from www.openoffice.org

Thanks

Rob
