Hi,

OO has some excellent tools for manipulating databases. If you know SQL
then this can be used, but there are also in-built methods for querying
databases.

You don't say what format the database is in, but OO can connect to most
formats with varying degrees of ease.

At that page you can download the chapter on Base, OO's database
component.

There is also quite useful information in the built-in help facility.
