There is one other difference. In the version from OOo the File > Save
option is grayed out when the file has not been altered. If you type so
much as a space it then becomes available. Ditto for Ctrl-s - if you
hit Ctrl-s and the document has not been changed it does not resave the
document, saving time and disk use.

In the Ubuntu version it is always available, so you can't tell if you
need to save the document or not. It's not a show-stopper, but I liked
the fact that I didn't have to continually save the document when I had
made no changes. When I am writing I sometimes go for a long time
"thinking" before I actually type something, by which time I have
forgotten about the last time I saved the document. Plus, I have a
habit of hitting Ctrl-s randomly, wasting time because it is frequently
unnecessary. I understand that the grayed out Save option was
deliberately disabled so that OOo Calc would look more like Excel.

There may be other differences, but that is the only one that I have
noticed.
