The answer begins on page 35 of setup_guide.pdf which come with the
downloaded zip file.
Using the multi-user install is what you want. What this does is
places most of the files (about 270 MB) in a single folder. Then the
second step in the install process places the personal user files
(about 2 MB) in a folder in his section of the hard drive.
What is confusing you is that all of this can be done on a single
computer (which is what you want) or it can be done on a network.
Follow the instructions beginning on page 35 of setup_guide.pdf to
install the server section. THIS MUST BE DONE AS System Administrator.
After that is completed, begin installing the workstation part. The
directions begin on page 47. One very important point: each user must
install the workstation part in order to be able to use OOo. If there
are three different log-in users, you do this part seperate times: log
in as one user to install the workstation, log out and then log in as
another user to install it for him or her, etc.
